Michelle Scott

It is truly an honor and a privilege to serve as the new Principal of Oscar Adams Elementary School. I do not take lightly the responsibility of leading a school, supporting teachers, partnering with families, and, most importantly, helping shape the lives and futures of our children. With over 16 years in education, including six years in school administration, my passion for this work continues to grow because I believe deeply in the power of education to change lives.

I am committed to giving Adams my very best each day. I believe leadership means being present, listening, serving, setting high expectations, and doing whatever it takes to ensure our students and staff have the support they need to succeed. I am also committed to my own continued growth as an educator and leader. I am currently pursuing my Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree and have completed the required components for National Board Certification.

My vision for Adams is both personal and purposeful: to build a school where every child is known, valued, challenged, and inspired to reach their fullest potential. I want our students to walk through our doors knowing that they belong, that someone believes in them, and that their dreams and possibilities extend far beyond the walls of our school.

I am incredibly excited about what we are building at Adams. I am dedicated to working alongside our teachers, staff, families, and community to create a school we are all proud to call ours. There is important work ahead, and I am committed to leading that work with passion, integrity, consistency, and a student-centered heart.

At Adams, I believe in all hands on deck because when a school and community come together with children at the center of every decision, we can accomplish extraordinary things.
