The Adams Library

Welcome to the Oscar Adams Library Page!

School libraries are an integral part of student learning.  Our library provides students with current publications, as well as classic literature choices to encourage student engagement with books. However, the library focuses on more than just books.  Library lessons teach students the importance of information retrieval and evaluation in a digital world: an important lifelong skill. Students also receive hands-on experience with robotics, STEAM materials, and learning manipulatives.  Library lessons are anything but quiet.  The library is a place for students to be engaged and thoughtful learners.

Quotes

“The unread story is not a story; it is little black marks on wood pulp. The reader, reading it, makes it live: a live thing, a story.”
— Ursula K. Le Guin

“Read. Read. Read. Just don’t read one type of book. Read different books by various authors so that you develop different style.”
― R.L. Stine

“We are one people with one family. We all live in the same house… and through books, through information, we must find a way to say to people that we must lay down the burden of hate.”
-Senator John Lewis
