Oscar Adams Elementary School is proud to announce Jakasha Bush as our very first Carson Scholar.  Jakasha is currently a 5th grade honor roll student who is actively involved in Jr. Beta Club, Student Council, Cheerleading, and many other activities.  She also represented our school in the system and county wide spelling bee contest. Due to her credible academic achievement, community involvement, humanitarianism, and school leadership, Jakasha was selected out of a large pool of 4th-12th grade students nationally.   With this honor she will receive a $1,000 scholarship award that will be invested for her college education.  She will be recognized and honored on April 23 at the University of Tennessee during the Carson Scholars annual awards banquet.  She will receive a personalized medal, certificate, peer recognition, and a large trophy for our school.  We are very proud of her.
